Since the town was founded more than 100 years ago, flocks of swallows will
swarm into town during the second half of the year. These indefatigable creatures have been performing this seasonal migration from
countries further up north to escape the winter cold. Every evening,
thousands of birds will hold a boisterous tête-à-tête in the firmament creating a sensational
phenomenon on two fronts. Firstly, it is an incredible sight to see these birds
staking their claim on lamp posts, telephone cables and any type of
suspended wires and ropes. These birds will sing, play and fight as if
