Another appeal of Jeram Panjang is a rock in the shape of a pregnant woman. Legend has it that a beautiful young lady was under the spell of “Sang Kelembai”,a genie, much like Medussa in Greek mythology, who could cast spells on anything and turn it into rock. According to the story, the young lady was so in love with a warrior who was sent for a mission. She went to the river where they departed, hoping to see her lover returned. However, much to her disappointments, the warrior never showed up. Then one day, while she was waiting near the river as usual, came “Sang Kelembai”.
