In conjunction with National Day Celebration, August has been declared the 'National Day Celebration Month.' The state government has prepared a series of programs to take place in respective districts. The private sector is also encourage to participate in the month-long celebration. They are advised to raise the national flag. Discount as high as 50% would be given to the shops that would switch on the lights on their signboards all light long. 17 Ogos-16 Sept. : Month-long National Celebration ii 30, August 2000 - National Flag Marathon in Bandar Baru Serting. Sponsored by Youth and Sports Ministry iii 2-9, August 2000 - Rafting Expedition from Jempol River to Muar River. Sponsored by Jempol Municipal Office. Assisted by Royal Artery Regimen 31 iv Finale - Parade held in Municipal Football field.
